Hello, I am Sophie
I work as a project manager. A parent. An expat residing in Paris, France.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Relocating to France wasn't part of the grand plan. Like many international moves, it started with a job opportunity and soon grew into something much bigger.
The first months were challenging — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and higher expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more daunting than expected.
The Transition Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created Omadiv Ekux Lece Bih Ali
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family point of view.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in France.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Real-world insights from life in France
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever there is a meaningful change
This site ISN'T:
- Not an official tourism resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in France continues, as does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Sophie
